Think she likes it?

On our way home from Allison's wedding we stopped at a park in Redding to let Molly blow off some steam...we weren't exagerating when we said she looooooves the slide!!

PS. Note to self: 14-month olds don't appreciate 8-hour car rides. Don't do this again.

A day in the park

Last week the weather was so nice we spent as much time as possible outside. We took walks, we worked in the garden, we washed the car, we took Molly to the park...
...where she looooooved the slide. Daddy would take her to the top, Momma would catch her at the bottom, then Molly would run back to Daddy at breakneck speed to do it all over again. Whee!
She loved it so much, Gabe decided to take her down the big slide. Which was fun save the fact they got stuck right after this picture was taken. (Maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all...) And during our walk home Molly picked up rocks, sticks, flowers, leaves, bottle caps, garbage, and even tried to pick up dog poop. The only way to keep her going was to have Gabe walk ahead and play the "where's Daddy?" game.
Here she is showing off her botany collection to Daddy.

Long overdue Christmas pictures...

While this wasn't Molly's first christmas, it was the first one where she wasn't a monkey in a blanket...and man did she have fun!
First, she discovered candy canes. And did she ever love them! You would have thought we'd canceled christmas judging by the fit she threw when Dad took the candy cane away...
Molly took revenge for us confiscating the candy cane, and decided to chew on Grampy's hammer instead.
One of her favorite toys was a giant bear from Grammy & Grampy. She hauls the damn thing everywhere. She even entertained her Uncle Todd for a quite a when he decided to play Molly bowling with it. (I'll try and upload a video later...it really was cute.)

Her other favorite toy was the wagon from Gramma & Grampa. (She loves the thing so much we have to hide it in the basement!)
And she also got a much needed toy chest! Yay! Organization (somewhat)! She very carefully supervised her Daddy while he assembled it.
