Gabe decided that triathlons just might be the thing for him. So after 12-weeks of training, he recently completed his first sprint triathlon!
No pictures of him swimming - which is unfortunate since this is the one category he was a top finisher. But after the swim he headed out on the bike...
...which took a long time to finish. Thank goodness for snacks and books.
Finally he was spotted cresting the hill, and Molly (who had been practicing yelling "GO Daddy!!") promptly went mute.
Then he was off on the run (his absolute least favorite part). Thankfully we got to see him more this leg, yet Molly was still not enthused.
Finally, the finish line. He crossed running, and placed 206th out of 600. Not too bad. Not too bad at all.
Molly promptly followed Daddy around like a little puppy dog, saying "we go home?"
Sara showed her support by sleeping thru the whole ordeal.

congrats my friend with all the calories burned just think of all the beer we can drink...i am running the Eugene marathon on the 1st of may...and then i too think triathlons will be my next Hobie, that is if my wife will let me get a bike
